He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long extended arm action. He has some arm speed and throws slightly downhill. Land throws a big sweeping slider with good break to it. He has some pitchability and controls both pitches. He has solid actions around the bag at first with nice hands. At the plate, Land uses a rotational swing and is short to the ball. He looks to pull and showed some pop. Very good student.

Justin Land is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from North Las Vegas, NV who attends Cheyenne HS. Big frame, projectable athletic build, long arms. Long arm action, deep arm circle, good balance at the top of his delivery, tends to fly open a bit on release, 3/4's arm slot, arm works well coming through, repeats basic mechanics well. Fastball to 81 mph, works down in the zone well and gets good sink, tends to cast curveball a bit and release it early due to early front side. Should have more velocity coming with additional strength. Right handed hitter, commits early and gets to front side, short line drive swing, consistent mid field contact. Good student.
