Michael Stephens is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Frisco, TX who attends Frisco. Stephens has a large frame with a lean projectable build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle in back with an extended release. His arm works and he has arm speed. Stephens pitches to contact and was always around the plate in his outing. He maintains balance through his delivery and finishes to the plate. He gets some run on his fastball and worked down in the zone. Defensively, he has solid actions with carry on his throws from the outfield. At the plate, Stephens starts with a slightly open stance with an early load. He's got quick hands and made solid middle of the field contact. Presently projects better in the outfield and grade reflects that. Outstanding student.
