Scott Mancini is a 2009 SS/RHP from Avon, Connecticut, with a strong and athletic 5'8"/135 pound frame. Mancini has athletic actions in the infield with excellent feel for the shortstop position. He showed good body control and very good feet and range defensively. As a right handed hitter, Scott hits from a wide base with a controlled and aggressive swing. He has very good bat speed with strength in his swing and makes consistent solid contact at the plate. On the mound, Mancini pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with and online delivery. He showed very good command and he works quick on the hill. His 67 mph fastball has arm side life and he does a nice job keeping it down in the zone.
