Anthony Perez is a 2013 C/ with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge HS. Compact frame with a solid athletic build. Has a long arm action behind the plate, has carry on his throws, quick release, good balance, blocks balls well. Starts out with a square slightly open stance at the plate, quick hands, good balance, pop in his bat, gap to gap hitter, shows bat speed, uses his lower half well, line drive swing plane, gets good extension out front, aggressive swing, makes hard contact. Is an interesting prospect to follow and is an outstanding student.

Feet show quickness, gains ground on pops. Long arm action with solid carry to the bag. Slightly open stance at the plate, leg lift trigger. Strong with swing actions. Hands are quick and direct to the ball. Aggressive swing, middle of the field line drive approach with pull pop. With more use of lower half power will come. Very good student.
