Jose Ponce is a 2014 3B/RHP with a 5-9 168 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Meadow Creek HS. Compact build with good present strength. Open crouched stance, doesn't close, rotational swing, gets arms loose and extended, creates some bat speed, consistent contact, can drive ball well to right centerfield, should keep improving. 7.84 runner, high energy fielder, moves to the ball well, quick release, arm strength still developing. Also pitched, rotational delivery with full back turn, high 3/4's arm slot, falls off to the first base side on release. Fastball to 75 mph, big soft curveball, throws strikes and pitches to contact.
