Andy Ward is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Oviedo, FL who attends Oviedo HS. Long slender upper half, stronger lower half. Low handed slow paced delivery, long arm action, tends to drift to third base side in delivery, could pitch taller, some effort on release. Mid 80's fastball this outing, have seen up to 91 mph in the past, topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight with 4-seamer, turned over 2-seamer with good late sink.. Curveball flashed good spin in the mid-70's, sweeping depth, some feel for a change up, mixes it up and has some pitchability. Some delivery adjustments to make but very good arm. Good student, verball commitment to Florida State.

Andy Ward is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Oviedo, FL who attends Oviedo HS. Strong mature build, compact arm action, mid 80's fastball, will touch 88 mph when he stays back over the rubber. Slurve type breaking ball, tends to lower release point, has some feel for a change up. Big key to development is learning to stay back in his delivery, noticeable difference in command/stuff when he does. Very good arm and pitched well all summer. Good student.

Andrew Ward is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Oviedo, FL who attends Oviedo HS. Solid athletic build, width to lower half, good present strength. Simple modified stretch delivery, compact quick arm action, high 3/4's slot, mechanics and arm work well. Consistent upper 80's fastball, topped at 89 mph, good run middle to arm side, straight glove side. Flashes plus spin and bite on curveball, big deep shape, has trouble occasionally controlling curveball size. Change inconsistent but good arm speed/fade on some, developing pitch with promise. Has 3 good pitches, an idea and good mechanics, should keep improving. Good student.
