Salvatore Armao is a 2012 LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Merrick, NY who attends Sanford Calhoun. Medium, athletic build. Slow paced, balanced delivery with medium knee raise and clean arm stroke in the back. Throws from a 3/4 slot with smooth mechanics. Gets downhill toward the plate with extension. He hides the ball in the back and has some deception in his delivery with a slight back turn. He was consistently around 80 with his fastball, topping at 82 with arm side run and threw an 11/5 curveball at 72. Raw at the plate with a grooved line drive swing. Will benefit from improved balance at plate.
