Jextin Pugh is a 2013 1B/RHP with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Duncansville, PA who attends Bishop Guilfoyle HS. Chiseled extra strong and large build, retains flexibility and looseness well for size. Left handed hitter, stands off the plate and looks to get arms extended, uppercut swing plane with lift, open stance and looks to pull, tends to hook around the ball, pull/power approach. 7.23 runner, shows his arm strength at first base, soft hands and a big target. Graded out much higher as a pitcher this event. Full hands over head delivery, good calm pace and well balanced, clean arm action with high 3/4's arm slot, good downhill angle to the plate, repeats delivery very well. Steady upper 80's fastballl, topped out at 90 mph, late run and sink, keeps fastball down in the zone and spots to the corners. Hard curveball spin when on top with power break, will get on side at times, still developing feel for change up but maintains arm speed. Shows pitchability to go with arm strength and very sound mechanics. PG grade reflects pitching evaluation. Good student, signed with Binghamton.

Thick physical frame, very strong lower half. 7.48 runner, outstanding raw arm strength from first base, moves well for his size, good footwork. Left handed hitter, long stride but stays over back side, opens early and looks to pull and lift, has raw bat speed and power, hitting tools to improve with adjustments. Also pitched, cross body delivery, long wrapped arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, some effort on release. Mid 80's fastball, topped at 88 mph, big breaking 11/5 curveball, developing change up. Good student.
