Scooter Houston is a 2006 2B/MIF from Starrs Mill High School in Peachtree City, Georgia, with a strong 5'9'', 170 lb. frame. Defensively he has nice footwork in the middle of the diamond with good hands and a solid arm. His arm may play better at second base at the next level, but he still has the arm to play shortstop as well because of his quick transfer and release. Houston also shows good body control defensively on slow rollers and balls ranging to his side. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a narrow and upright stance. He has a very open stance, but he closes off well at contact. Houston has very good bat speed with a line drive swing plane and makes consistently solid contact. Houston has solid hitting mechanics and should make consistent contact at the next level. He is a solid all-around player, and is a good student as well.

Scooter Houston is a 2006 middle infielder from Starrs Mill HS in Peachtree City, GA, with a 5'9", 165 lb. frame. He has a strong and stocky build with athletic actions. Houston is a good defensive infielder with quick actions and good hands. He has good first step quickness with good range, especially to his glove side and can make all of the plays. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who has a simple approach at the plate. Houston stays balanced through his swing and has very little head movement. He stays on the ball well and makes solid contact and shows solid bat speed. The adjustability with his hands allow him to hit the ball the other way and he has good bat control. Houston plays hard and is the type of player any coach would love to have. He is a solid follow, and is also a very good student.

Houston is a 5-8 middle infielder from Georgia with a young face but some present strength in his body, especially in his lower half. He has a very simple and fundamentally sound approach at the plate. Houston has a simple rock back load and a short swing that takes the bat head right to the ball. We’re guessing that he’s a very high average hitter at the high school level and that swing and approach translated well with wood, too. Houston even showed a bit of pop with a nice double up the RCF gap in one game. Defensively, Houston has quick feet, good hands and very smooth quick transfers. His tools and nice actions profile best to second base in the future. Houston is a very good student.

Scooter Houston is an '06 MIF/3B/OF from Peachtree, Georgia with a stocky, strong body. He is a Pete Rose type player who plays with an intense, gritty style. Defensively, he has a 75mph loose arm from a L3/4 arm slot and a soft glove. He has good instincts and quick reactions. He has a solid glove with quick hands. His transfers are smooth and fluid with good range that make him suited to a 2B spot. At the plate he hits from a medium base and open stance with a short stride into contact. He is a rotational type hitter with nice rotation and nice bat speed. He stays inside the ball well and is a contact type hitter that uses all fields with flashes of pull side power.
