Erik Gonzalez is a 2013 3B/RHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from West Covina, CA who attends Nogales HS. Medium build, some present strength. Simple right handed hitting approach, quick short swing, hits under control, line drives to all fields, repeats his mechanics well. Soft hands defensively, same under control approach, makes the routine play, will have to improve lower 1/2 quickness. Talent as a pitcher, rotational delivery with tight mid 3/4's release, hides the ball well, fastball topped at 87 mph, mostly straight, good feel for changing speeds with change up, tends to cut off release on CB, can throw it harder.
