Avery Gilmore is a 2012 OF/RHP with a 5-10 143 lb. frame from Islandia, NY who attends Central Islip HS. Gilmore has a thin athletic body. Slightly open stance at the plate, contact swing, flashes bat speed, glides into ball, weight out front to hit, projects with polish. Long arm action, solid arm, moves well in the outfield, good reads/jumps in the game. Also pitched, high 3/4 release, throws strikes. He is a good student.
