Severiano Romo is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Fullerton, CA who attends Servite HS. Young slender build, plenty of room to fill out. Right handed hitter, simple line drive swing, stays inside the ball, squares up well, hits to all fields, bat speed to come with added strength. Soft hands defensively, quick exchange, second base actions, tends to lay back on balls and throw flat footed. Arm strength plays much better off the mound, cross body delivery, quick loose arm, steady 85-86 mph fastball, curveball shows a hard, late bite, 2 solid pitches. Good student.
