Jack Parker is a 2012 LHP/OF with a 6-0 163 lb. frame from Stonewall, LA who attends Evangel Christian Academy. Parker has a lean and athletic build with room for continued strength gains. High 3/4 arm slot on the mound, gets good drive from his lower half. Good deception and is especially tough on left handed hitters. Gets going downhill, and works both sides of the plate effectively. Fastball gets on hitters quickly due to his deceptive delivery. Also gets good biting action on his curveball, performed very well in game play. A capable outfielder that takes himself to the ball well and shows arm strength on his throws. Spread stance at the plate, makes solid opposite field contact. Leg raise trigger starts his swing and he gets the bat through the zone well. Very good student.
