Richard Alamo is a 2013 C/2B with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends Wiiliam B.Travis HS. Smaller athlete with wiry strength and quick twitch actions, high energy player. Switch-hitter, same swing both sides, quick hands, barrel short and crisp to the ball, spray line drive contact, high average type hitter. Versatile defensive player, 6.69 speed, very solid arm strength both in infield and catching, 1.85 best pop time, very quick exchange, very good range at second base, has some flair for defense, sometimes tries to be too quick with hands. Very good ball player, size limits power and full-time ability to play catcher but nothing else.
