Ben Silberman is a 2006 third baseman/second baseman from Bellaire, TX, with a medium build showing strength throughout at 5-11 170 lbs. In the field he showed quick, active feet, good actions and a solid glove. His throwing arm was clean with a quick release that produced strong accurate throws at 81 mph across the infield. At the plate, he hits with a square stance and uses a no load, no stride approach. His swing is a rotational type swing and produces good bat speed. He showed gap power in both BP and the games and drove a ball to the gap in right center during the game. Overall Ben is a solid player with nice tools that will only get better as he matures.
