Eric Pierce is a 2012 LHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Laguna Niguel, CA who attends Dana Hills HS. Long athletic build, room to get stronger. Easy low effort delivery, tends to overstride and land open, needs to pitch taller, 3/4's arm slot. Upper 70's fastball, topped at 81 mph, some tailing action on FB. Good arm speed on 70 mph change up, nice fading action, curveball has short break and good shape. Works around the plate but would stay down in zone more consistently with stride adjustments. Good student.
