Showed very well in the defensive workout, posting a 1.92 pop time and throwing 78 mph. Blocked well in games, 2.06 in-game pop time (caught stealing), low setup leads to longer transfer, can improve release time with higher transfer. Throws carry, online catch & throw mechanics, has the tools to develop into high level defensive catcher. Long swing, short load, good hand speed which suggests he will develop good bat speed as he becomes more efficient with his swing mechanics. Lot of fly balls, backside collapse, shows strength at contact, likely to develop with the bat. If bat doesn't come around defense will likely be good enough to carry him anyway, but has the potential to become a high level two-way catcher.
