Andrew Ray is a 2013 C/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Michigan City, IN who attends Marquette Catholic HS. Lean athletic build, good strength potential. Right handed hitter, rotational swing, no forward weight shift, loose and extended out front, has some strength in swing, ball comes off the barrel well, solid line drive contact, should keep improving with adjustments/added strength. High set catching, long extended arm action, multi-piece release, good arm strength for age but work on throwing fundamentals, 2.15 best pop time. Also pitched, simple fast paced mechanics, repeats well, good extension out front, fastball to 78 mph, good arm speed on off speed, nice feel for change up, throws strikes and competes.
