Ryan Mashinter is a 6-0, 205 lb senior right handed pitcher from Canada with a thick, mature body. He throws with low effort pitching mechanics with a long, loose arm action and good tempo to the plate. He stays within himself and is trying to hit spots with each one of his pitches. Mashinter's fastball was 78-80 mph and he kept it out fo the middle of the plate. His 68 mph curveball has good spin and bite to it and he showed a feel for a 73 mph change up. Mashinter was very effective at the showcase and we've seen him pitch very effectively in team events as well. Mashinter is also a good student off the field.

Ryan Mashinter is a strong 2006 right handed pitcher from Canada with a loose, easy arm stroke. He throws his fastball 76-79 mph now with a long arm stroke in back, and a palm up "pie throwing" type of arm circle. Mashinter gets some running action on his fastball at times, and at other times showed some cutting action. Mashinter likes to work his fastball in on hitters, and his running action helps to get some weakly hit balls. His curveball was 65-66 mph with a 11/5 break. He's very efficient and gets outs.
