Shane Cooper is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from O'Fallon, MO who attends Timberland HS. Long and slender athletic build, looks bigger than listed. 6.91 runner, very smooth and easy infield actions, stays balanced with good footwork, quick release with plenty of arm strength, works through the ball, glove can get down late occasionally. Right handed hitter, good balance and shift, stays inside the ball, solid swing mechanics, has bat speed, solid line drive contact. Short but very effective appearance on the mound, big flexible leg raise delivery, compact quick arm action, 3/4's extended release, very low effort release, fastball sat at 88 mph with command, didn't show off speed but has obvious pitching ability. Could be an overlooked prospect, lots of the tools and skills play high. Follow closely. Signed with Jefferson CC.
