Solid athletic build with good present strength, physically mature. 7.07 runner, very versatile defensive player, athletic actions behind the plate, low flexible set up, compact quick release, good footwork, plus arm strength, 1.93 best pop, very willing and able blocker, also plays third base at a high level. Right handed hitter, spread stance, rock back load, loose aggressive swing, hard pull contact, has power, moves through contact well, can get beat inside at present, really drove the ball well. Also pitched, fastball to 88 mph, mostly straight, short slurve type breaking ball. Showed his combination of strength and athleticism well, high energy player. Good student, verbal commitment to North Carolina.

Adrian Chacon is a 2013 C/3B/RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit HS. Strong lean physical build. Big hitting tools, especially for a high level catcher. Plus bat speed, lift in swing, strong at contact, present power. Can use all fields, prefers to pull, loose swing actions, makes adjustments. Very good catch & throw skills behind the plate, strong arm, quick release, good carry, accurate throws. Receiving skills are less polished than catch & throw at present but tools to potentially develop into elite catching prospect. Very high level prospect. Also showed well on the mound. Good student.

Adrian Chacon is a 2013 C/3B/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit HS. Solid athletic build, very good lower half strength. Very good defensive tools, low set with flexible, loose actions, easy low effort release, lots of arm strength, blocks well and shows lateral quickness, can improve consistency of release point. Straight right handed stance, looks to pull, shows strength and present bat speed, late hitch/wrap affects consistency, can hit the ball out of the park. Also pitched, fastball to 87 mph, turn and throw delivery, release point varies high 3/4's to 3/4's, good sink on change up, slurve type breaking ball. Very good all around prospect. Good student.
