Gorzitze is a projectable 6-4, 175 lb. pitcher and a young 2006 prospect. He has a good tempo on the mound with a balanced delivery and a long, extended arm stroke with some wrap in the back. Gorzitze’s arm works well and is fluid and smooth. When we saw him throw across the infield from first base we thought about a player who might throw in the low to mid 80’s from the mound but Gorzitze was 77-78 mph in game situations. There’s plenty more there. Gorzitze’s breaking ball was a 68 mph slurve that showed good life at times. He projects nicely and should become an outstanding pitcher.
