Lail is an "04" from Utah. He's a strong, athletic RHP/IF with wide square shoulders. He has that MLB look to him. In the field he shows average range, but his speed will probably put him at the corner at the next level. He has soft hands and a strong arm that is online at 84-85 across the infield. At the plate he has a classic high, tall approach with above average bat speed and some pop in his bat. His stroke is compact and quick with good balance. From the mound he has a great idea how to pitch with an 84-85mph fastball that has a nice late hand-side run. He throws a slurve at 71-72 with tightness in its spin. His change is 70-71. Seems to have command of all his pitches. Good two way college prospect. With a little velocity gain he could be a very good D&F for this years draft. Needs to be followed.
