Drew Wharton is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge HS. Strong build with a lot of projection, very athletic and agile, going to get stronger. Ran a 7.21 60 yard. Good arm strength, 85 mph from the outfield, on-line and consistently accurate, solid actions. Right-handed hitter, high hands set, shows good strength in his hands, consistent hard line drive contact, gets good leverage, hard pull side contact, flashes power potential to pull side, deep drive in game action, balanced hitter with hit tool that should continue to develop. Also pitches, projects better as position player. Pitched at 82-83 mph with his fastball, 3/4 arm slot, short arm action, commands his fastball, shows 11-5 curveball with some bite, throws a lot of strikes. Good student.

Drew Wharton is a 2014 OF/LHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Suwanee, who attends Peachtree Ridge HS. Long lean build, good physical projection. 7.61 runner, fluid outfield actions, sound footwork, moves through the ball well, accurate throws with some carry, arm strength will improve with age/strength. Short aggressive swing, downward swing plane, generates some bat speed, uses his backside well to drive through contact, no lift at present due to swing plane but should eventually learn to lift the ball. Should continue to improve in all areas. Good student.
