Ryan Boelsen is a Junior College catcher/first baseman from Garden City, New York, with a strong 6'3"/230 pound frame. Behind the plate, he has a strong arm at 77 mph. He was accurate with his throws and a 2.06 pop time and also showed a quick release in games. As a right handed hitter, he has an open stance at the plate that he closes well. Ryan has a top hand release swing with very good raw power. He uses the whole field and also showed good power to the opposite field. Boelsen had several hits in game action. Ryan is a good student.
