Preston Warner is a 2012 RHP/1B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX who attends Monsignor Kelly HS. Big strong physical build, room to get stronger. Athletic delivery, repeats well, 3/4's arm slot, works quickly, good arm speed. Upper 80's fastball, topped at 89 mph, good run and sink when throwing downhill, tends to pitch up frequently. Tends to slow arm on curveball, flashes proper shape and spin, fields position well. Good strength with the bat, good leverage at contact, has some lift and bat speed, gets extended, long load, will drive mistakes over the plate. Very good student.

High leg raise delivery, good balance, uses lower 1/2 well, good downhill plane. Mid 80's fastball, topped at 86 mph, soft CB shows good depth, 12/6 downer shape, flashed hard slurve with tight spin, goes right after hitters, good feel for strike zone with all pitches. Long powerful swing, good extension, strength at contact, ball comes off bat well, power approach. Good student.
