Willie Burger is a 2015 C/1B/3B with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Maytown, PA who attends Lancaster Catholic HS. Very strong, mature frame, lower half is particularly strong. Needs more consistency with his throws from behind the plate, quick release, quality arm strength, good footwork. Right-handed hitter, shows a lot of raw strength, hands away from his body in his setup, high back elbow. Flashes impressive bat speed, needs to keep his weight back, good lift and pulls the ball effectively, aggressive hitter, stays short to the ball, very strong hands. High level hitting prospect, needs to be followed closely. Good student.

Recently converted third baseman, showed quick compact actions, accurate game throws with good arm strength, has upper half quickness. Right handed hitter, pre-load approach with still hand start, long and strong swing, very good raw bat speed, some uppercut in swing plane, hard line drive contact, best to right centerfield, unusual swing approach but it works well for him, has the strength to pull it off. Good student.
