Ryan Andrews is a 2005 third baseman from Jackson, New Jersey, with a 5'11", 180 lb. frame. Andrews is a promising young left handed hitter. He hits from an open stance, and flashed a short, quick bat with a good high follow through that produced some good gap shots during batting practice. Andrews has the potential to have some above average power. Defensively, Andrews showed solid arm strength with good hands and feet. He has good first step quickness that played well on defense and on the bases. Andrews should be a solid hitting prospect at the next level.

Ryan is a strong athletic 05 3B with wide shoulders from Jackson, NJ. In the field he showed quick feet with nice hands and arm strength at 80 mph across the diamond. Throws showed slight tail and loft to the bag. All non-routine actions in the field were short and quick, he was very efficient on both the back hand and glove side plays. With the bat Ryan showed excellent bat speed from the left side with top level left side power. Swing planes were consistantly line drive with a very small trigger and load. We saw a slight loft angle on pitches over the inner half, but he still maintained balance and control thoroughout his swing. Ryan is a top level hitting prospect. He is a good student and needs to be followed closely.
