Phildrick Llewellyn is a 2012 C/MIF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Boynton Beach, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Strong well proportioned athletic build. Very athletic catcher, 7.05 runner, quick twitch athleticism. Gets rid of the ball very quickly, playable raw arm strength but 1.7's in drills, stays compact and quick, good feet, works hard behind the plate. Switch-hitter, similar approach and bat speed, wide base, aggressive swing with bat speed, loose out front, ball comes off the bat hard, shows power, will overswing at times. Hustling approach has stood out at multiple events. Athletic catcher with skills/tools, might be underrated as a prospect. Good student. Signed with Florida International.
