WP - Robert Engel is a 2006 C/1B/P from St. Lawrence Academy in Sunnyvale, California. Robert has a compact body with a strong lower body to go along with broad, strong shoulders. Defensively, Robert showed the plus footwork and soft hands to block balls in the dirt. Engel holds his hands high at the plate with decent bat speed. Robert has the ability to make solid contact and spray the ball to all fields with some gap power and hit for a solid average. Robert is also a very strong student.
