Butts is an athletically built right hander from Puerto Rico. He threw his fastball 79-82 with some running action. He has a fairly loose arm and easy arm stroke but loses all chance that he might have to throw harder by collapsing his backside during his delivery and cutting off extension. Butts throws a 69 mph curveball that would benefit greatly from more extension and direction to the plate. Robert could really develop in the right college program.
