Rick Marlin -- We’ve seen Marlin a couple times over the last 6 months. He’s a big, very strong young man, especially in the upper body. Marlin looks like he’s gained a significant amount of size during this period. He has a smooth, easy swing at the plate and generates good bat speed with some loft power potential. Marlin can turn on a ball with wood with no problem and the ball jumps off his bat in a hurry. Marlin’s best defensive tool is his arm strength, which is MLB above average from right field. The tools are definitely there for Marlin, big time arm!. He’s a top notch student off the field, too.
