Richard Hill is a 6'1", 2005 left handed pitcher/outfielder with a nice 185 lb athletic body from Longview, TX. He has a big pause at the top of his delivery that throws off his timing and balance without providing any obvious benefit. Hill threw his fastball 73-76 mph in Waco from an over the top arm slot. Hill consistently kept his fastball low. He also threw a 68 mph slurve and 62 mph change up. There’s more in Hill’s arm with some reworked mechanics. At the plate, he uses a line drive swing plane to hit balls to every part of the field with pretty good bat speed. He also shows athletic ability and ran a 7 flat 60 yds. He threw well from the OF. Richard is a good student.

Hill is an "05" LHP/OF from Longview, TX. At 6'1/180 he has big hands, long limbs and that high waist scouts love to see. His arm plays and he runs very well. He shows good athletic actions in the outfield. At the plate he looks like a good line drive contact type hitter. He uses all the field and shows some gap power. On the mound he throws with some effort, a bit across his body. His fastball was gunned at 76 but had deception. His high 60s CB showed promise and the changeup might have been his best pitch with good movement and deception. Richard is a good athlete and a good student.
