Steve Smith is a 2012 RHP/OF/SS with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from O'Fallon, MO who attends Fort Zumwalut West HS. Slender athletic build, good strength potential. Leg raise delivery, accelerates to the plate well, some drop/drive, high 3/4's slot, fast loose arm. Low 80's fastball, topped at 83 mph, consistent late heavy life at the plate, poor swings against FB. Soft CB, good shape but needs to be thrown harder. Threw strikes and attacked with fastball. Aggressive swing, swing stays on plane a long time, looks to pull, some lift, good lower half use, has some raw hitting tools.
