Anthony Bakeris is a 2011 RHP with a 6'4'', 190 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Central HS. Young tall build, plenty of projetion. On line delivery, kicks leg out, never gets hips properly rotated, overhand arm slot with body lean at release. Low 80's fastball, topped at 83 mph, mostly straight, occasionally cuts FB, tends to pitch up in zone because of delivery mechanics. Soft CB with short downer shape, likely SL guy at next level with release point, rare change up. Moved athleticially in the infield, good footwork, some carry on throws. Long swing, some strength at contact, line drive contact all fields, some hand quickness. Good student.

Anthony Bakeris is a 2011 RHP/SS/3B with a 6'4'', 190 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Central HS. Nice pitcher's build, long and loose, projects physically. Hand drop windup, quick clean compact arm stroke, overhand release point, very good downhill angle to the plate. Steady mid 80's fastball, mostly straight, will need to learn how to get FB to glove side of plate more consistently. Nice change up, good arm speed, split like sink at times, soft slurve type slider has depth and some bite. Should keep improving. Good student.
