Zach Rengel is a 2012 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Fergus Falls, MN who attends Fergus Falls HS. Nice athletic frame, good strength for his age. Leg raise delivery, doesn't get lower half loaded/turned as well as possible, compact quick arm action, hides ball well, high 3/4's release point. Steady 80-81 mph fastball, good sink/tail when low in the zone. Nice feel for change up, good sink/deception, confident in change and threw often. Rare slurve type CB, will have to develop breaking ball. More velocity with better lower half use, promising young southpaw arm. Very good student.
