Ralph Tufano is a 2007 outfielder/right handed pitcher from Staten Island, New York. The sky is the limit for this talented 5'9", 155 lb. player. He ran a solid 7.1 on a wet track, and showed good running form. As an outfielder he showed a strong and accurate throwing arm with good carry on all of his throws. Tufano has good range, and made some good quick transfers from glove to hand. At the plate, he hit out of an even stance and showed some good bat speed with some power. He recoils his swing a little and could finish a little better, but overall showed to be a good hitter. On the mound, he didn’t show the velocity that he did from the outfield, as his fastball only topped out at 81 mph, but he showed good late life. His curveball had a good 12-6 rotation, but he struggled a bit with his control. Tufano showed a plus change up at 67-69 mph that stayed down with good fade. Overall we project that he will become a very sought after '07 outfielder. Keep an eye out for him at future events, bright future.
