Paul Johnson is a 2006 first baseman from Naples, Florida, with an extra large 6'7", 250 lb. frame and it looks like he's not through growing. He’s a big young man. Johnson hits from a slight crouch with lots of hand action in his load that affects his rhythm just a bit. Johnson has some loft in his swing, and got a couple balls up in the air well. Johnson told us that his baseball experience is somewhat limited and it’s obvious he has a chance to improve because of his raw strength and one spot athleticism. He also seemed like a pleasant and hard working young player who wanted to get better. He's a big L/L guy that could become a big sleeper. Paul is a good student.
