Patrick Regalado is a 2007 catcher from Hialeah High School in Hialeah, Florida, with a 5'10'', 205 lb. frame. Defensively he has a strong and accurate arm and is aggressive with his throws and will throw to any base at any time. He moves well for his size and does a good job blocking balls in the dirt with quick feet. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a wide crouched stance similar to Albert Pujols. Regalado loads his hands well and comes up through the ball with a slight lift in his swing. He has good bat speed through the zone, and has strength and power in his swing when he makes contact. Regalado projects to be a middle of the order hitter who can drive in runs. He is a solid defensive catcher with a chance to make an impact on offense as well, and those types of players are hard to find.
