Cameron Engberg is a 2012 RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Mt Pleasant, IA who attends Mt Pleasant HS. Lean young build, projects well. Side step delivery, very long extended arm action, deep circle in back, arm is loose, some effort at release, pulls head off the plate. Consistent 83-85 mph fastball, occasional sinking action, bigger sink on 74 mph change up. Throws both curveball and slider, inconsistent release points on breaking balls, inconsistent spin/shape. Two solid pitches in FB/Chg, developing breaking balls will be key. Should continue to improve.

Showed increased velocity from this spring and Fastball could develop into an overpowering pitch in the future. Showed quick clean arm action, Fastball flashed hard sink when down in the zone. Strike thrower who generally missed low when he did miss. Showed a good 12-6 Curveball with hard spin, mixed in a good straight Changeup and showed a Slider for the first time that we have seen. High upside pitching prospect.

Rock back/leg raise delivery, full arm circle, high 3/4's release point, some effort at release. Low 80's fastball to 83 mph, mostly straight. Big sweeping curveball when released out front, change up showed very good sink at times, could mix up his pitches more. Good velocity for age, should keep improving.
