Kyle Crifasi is a 2012 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends University Lab School. Crifasi is solidly built with a lean frame and present strength with sloped shoulders. On the mound he shows good arm speed, expect more velocity from this arm. Mechanics are simple and he works quickly to the hitter. Looks to get ahead put hitters away with his tight spinning 10-4 curveball. With increased consistency, the curveball is a legitimate strikeout pitch. Athletic moving to the ball in the outfield, fields cleanly and comes through the ball on his throws, with a long extended arm action. Spread stance at the plate with a toe tap trigger to start his swing. His hands are quick and strong and makes contact to all fields. Very good student.
