Eric Holdren is a 2011 RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Rancho HS. Mature athletic build, good strength. Fast paced back turn delivery, effort on release provides deception, fast arm, works quickly, makes the hitter uncomfortable. 88-91 mph fastball, gets on hitters quickly, throws both curveball and slider, gets good tilt on both, SL better present pitch, nice feel for his change up. Mixes his 4 pitches well, around the zone but hard to project + command with effort. Right handed hitter, pull/lift approach, has some bat speed and pop, aggressive swing. Good student, verbal commitment to San Diego State.
