Keenan Chanin is a 2010 RHP with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Surrey, BC who attends Elgin Park. Tall, lean and athletic build with good projection. Chanin pitched very well at this event, showing a FB with good life coming from a smooth and loose arm action, he gets good extension to the plate, and gains deception from his low hand position during his delivery, features 11-5 CB that is effective keeping hitters off balance. He was confident and composed throughout working two perfect innings, and the velocity projects. Showed versatility in the OF, getting to balls well and showing the armstrength we later saw on the mound. Open stance at the plate, and the ball comes off well when he centers up, good swing path through the zone with quick hands, stays balanced. Good student.
