Tyler Jackson is a 2012 C/2B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Lexington Catholic. Medium athletic build. Have seen him perform well behind the plate in the past, played infield only at this event. Hands worked well defensively, aggressive fielder. Confident plate approach, good contact skills, easy swing, quick bat, line drive swing path. Short to the ball, good balance, uses his lower half well, squares up consistently, real solid hitter, may develop gap power with increased separation and added strength. Good offensive potential, showed good ability behind the plate in the past, showed versatility with good showing at 2B at this event. High energy player who carries himself well. Excellent student.
