Mike Pericht is a 2006 C/3B/1B from Providence Catholic HS in Orland Park, IL, with a 6'5'', 220 lb. frame. He has a very strong, well proportioned body. Pericht ran the 60 in 7.71 and threw a very strong 78 mph during catching drills. He has very good arm strength. Surprisingly, Pericht also has good quickness for a catcher his size and had a best pop time of 1.96. He has soft hands receiving the ball and gets rid of it cleanly. His catch and throw skills are well advanced. At the plate, Pericht hits from a wide spread stance with a deep load and a long, powerful swing. He generates very good bat speed and has nice lift in his swing. He can hit the ball a long way when he gets hold of a pitch. Pericht shows some polish at the plate as well and is not just a free swinging power hitter. He's a very good all around player with solid offensive and defensive tools. National level prospect. Pericht is also a good student.

Mike Pericht is a 2006 catcher/right handed pitcher from Orland Park, IL with a pro type body that shows good strength at 6-5, 220 lbs. Defensively, he has excellent arm strength at 81 mph with a very good pop time of 1.89. He moves well with good blocking skills, and he has nice soft hands. He hits from a balanced stance with high hands and a level swing plane. He has strong hands and he generates good bat speed. He makes solid contact and he shows home run power potential with the wood bat. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a very short arm action and a max effort delivery. His fastball is heavy at 84 mph with life, and he has a nice curveball at 74 mph. He has a projectable body with very good tools and he will be a very high level prospect with good draft potential. Mike is a very good student.
