Brandon Valentine is a 2011 RHP/1B/3B/OF with a 6'6'', 180 lb. frame from Hammond, IN who attends Morton HS. Very tall and slender, projectable pitcher's build, good look on the mound, has room for continued strength and size gains. Drop and drive delivery on the mound, smooth mechanics, works from a low 3/4 release point that helps him get good armside run on his FB, velocity projects well. Developing actions on the IF, very good target at 1B, hands work, shows good armstrength on accurate throws. Closed stance at the plate, uses an early trigger and shows good timing, gets good leverage from frame, and shows raw power, has hitting tools to develop.
