2004 Northeast Undergrad Showcase
Michael Ritzzo is a 2005 shortstop/pitcher from Weston, Connecticut. He has a 6'0", 175 pound frame. He was named to the Underclass Top Prospect Team. At the plate, he showed a tall stance, with a short stride and good balance from both sides of the plate. Ritzzo also showed middle of the field power with short quick hands that stayed inside the ball extremely well. As a pitcher, he throws from a ¾ arm slot with a good 82 mph fastball. His slow 10-4 curveball was 68 mph that seemed to get better and adjusted to a 11-5 curveball as the game went on. He showed good control of both pitches, and excellent command of the strike zone.
