Michael Anderson is a 2006 outfielder from Etiwanda, CA, with a 6'2", 180 lb. frame. Anderson was named to the Top Prospect Team from this event. He is a very athletic outfielder who runs well. Anderson ran a 6.77-sixty on a slow track, and showed great first step quickness on the bases and in the outfield. Defensively he is very smooth tracking down fly balls, and he has solid arm strength, but has an inconsistent release on his throws. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with an upright stance. Anderson has solid bat speed and makes solid contact at the plate. His present strengths are his speed and defense and that will get him to the next level. Anderson is also an excellent student who needs to be followed by Division I schools.
