He has good balance and uses his hands very well. His short swing and good bat speed allowed him to drive the ball well to all fields. McKinnon Langston is a 2007 middle infielder from Tallahassee, Florida, with good present strength for his size and age. Although only 5'7", Langston has a "big" approach at the plate, with a big rock back trigger and an aggressive full swing that develops some bat head speed and pop. Langston crushed a double to the left centerfield wall during one showcase game, and showed some consistency and balance in his swing as well. Defensively, Langston moves well to the ball and shows soft hands and good fielding fundamentals. His arm strength is still developing and might limit him to second base in the future. Langston is a 7.86 runner who will also need to work on his speed and quickness over the next few years for the best college opportunity. His bat looks like it will be his primary tool, though. McKinnon is a top student off the field as well.
