Christian Pelaez is a 2013 LHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian HS. Lean, projectable build with athleticism and room to fill. One of smoothest deliveries of any pitcher at the event. Throws from over the top slot with easy, repeatable mechanics. Very smooth on the backside with slight effort at release point. Arm works well, does a good job of repeating motion. Good command of three pitches, knows how to pitch. 1/7 curveball is good #2 pitch, break is not sharp but command is very good. High level pitchability. Good student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
